 Fabiola Ruiz      Pronunciation errors are part of the learning process, without doing errors, students don't know if they are progressing. As a native Spanish speaker, I consider that o ne of the biggest challenges when learning English is pronunciation because we have a big influence of the mother tongue, and we tend to pronounce some Spanish sounds in English. Moreover, is important to detect those errors because if we make them in a conversation with someone, the message that we are trying to say, will not be clear. It's fundamental to practice as much as we can, to avoid doing pronunciation errors, and with this assignment, I found useful exercises that I can do to practice my pronunciation and that I will do with my students as a future English teacher. English Pronunciation Errors made by Spanish native speakers

  Error #1: The consonant "Z" is pronounced as an "S".  Explanation what this error ocours: This error ocour when the students are learning a second language can not distinguish the pronunciation of both consonants,  these consonants can sound the same and it is because both sounds are produced in the same place of the mouth. There are some differences.             Learning a new language is a difficult task in which mistakes are completely normal to make because it is part of the learning process. Grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and pronunciation are some skills that must be learned in the acquisition of a new language. When a person is learning a second language, such as English, and his or her native language is Spanish, it can be a challenging process because the mother tongue interferes with the pronunciation of the second language. Moreover, i t is very common for Spanish speakers to pronounce words in English in the same way that they do in Spanish, but when  this happens, pronunciation errors occur.
